ABOUT TIGARD

Tigard is a vibrant and evolving suburb just southwest of Portland. With a mix of established neighborhoods and new developments, Tigard has a small-town community feel but with all the conveniences of city living. It’s known for its walkable downtown, family-friendly parks, access to nature, and growing arts and business scenes.  It is also proudly recognized as a Tree City USA, a designation it has held for over 20 years.

Tigard has long been one of those places that people quietly move to—and then never want to leave. It’s close enough to downtown Portland for an easy commute but just far enough out to breathe a little easier.  And it’s a bit more affordable. You’ve got trails that wind through wetlands, locally owned coffee shops that know your order, and neighbors who still wave when you walk by. There’s a strong sense of community here, whether you're attending a summer concert at Cook Park or bumping into friends at the farmers market.

And Tigard isn’t standing still. With investments in downtown revitalization, redevelopment in the Tigard Triangle, and increased walkability around the WES station, the city continues to grow in smart, community-focused ways. Tigard is great for those looking to settle down, invest, or just explore what’s next.
